Refund Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

New student accounts can try Pro free for 7 days without entering a payment method, and new independent counselor accounts can try a counselor plan free for 15 days. If a plan isn't right for you, cancel any time to stop future renewals. Refunds on paid subscriptions are handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle, under the Paddle Buyer Refund Policy.

Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment processing, invoicing, tax compliance, and refunds.

How to Request a Refund

  1. Visit paddle.net and enter the email address you used at checkout to look up your order.
  2. Select the order you'd like refunded and follow the prompts to request a refund.
  3. You can also email us at support@wavescholar.app and we'll help coordinate the refund with Paddle.

Subscription Cancellations

You can cancel an active subscription at any time from your account settings or from the Paddle customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues through the end of the current billing period. Cancellation on its own is not a refund - if you'd also like a refund on a recent charge, follow the steps above.

Free Trials

Student Pro trials are 7 days and do not collect a payment method at signup, so no charge occurs unless you later start a paid subscription. Counselor trials are 15 days. Trials are limited to one per account and one per email address.
